Privacy policy

HaikuFish stores your email address to send sign-in links, your public pen name, timezone, poems, private drafts, appreciations, blocks and reports. Emails are never included in public profiles or poem responses.

What is public?

Published poems, pen names, and publication dates are public. Appreciation totals are visible only to each poem’s author. Private drafts, email addresses and your blocked-author list are not public. Moderators can review reports and associated content.

No behavioral tracking

No advertising, third-party analytics, fingerprinting or tracking SDKs. The website uses a session cookie for sign-in and security. The iOS app stores authentication credentials in Keychain and unpublished drafts on your device. Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Deletion and retention

Delete your account in account settings to remove your poems, drafts, appreciations and credentials. Deleted content may remain in backups until those backups expire. Removed content must not be restored to the live site. Minimal security logs and a limited moderation audit record may be retained for safety.
