Community guidelines

HaikuFish is a place to write and share haiku: short poems that capture a moment, an image or an observation.

A familiar starting point is three lines of five, seven and five syllables. We suggest this form without automatically enforcing a syllable count. Differences in poetic form alone are not grounds for reporting a poem.

Look after each other

Harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, illegal material, spam and abuse are not permitted. Do not publish private information about another person. Only post work you have the right to share.

Use Report on a poem or author page when something needs attention. A human moderator reviews reports and may remove a poem or suspend an account. Blocking hides another author’s poems and profile while you’re signed in.

A missed day has no consequences. There are no streaks or rankings of people here.
